After the tragic accidental death of our shareholder Manfred H. Schmidbauer in April this year, the Schmidbauer family decided to take this change. The family business, founded in 1948, currently employs 230 people and remains fully owned by the family.

Manfred H. Schmidbauer had always involved his wife and his four children in the fortunes of the company and established qualified managers in leading positions at the same time. However, we will miss his entrepreneurial personality. His foresight enabled a smooth continuation of the course of business of Elma.

Nothing will change at all regarding legal aspects, our business relations and the daily procedures and worktasks with our clients and partners. All contractual relations with their rights and obligations are transferred to full extend from the Elma Hans Schmidbauer GmbH & Co. KG to the new Elma Schmidbauer GmbH.

As the world's technological leader in the field of equipment and systems for industrial precision cleaning with ultrasound, Elma has full order books. In the coming weeks the production and the administration will move into the extensions in the industrial area of Singen and the production capacity becomes expanded and the various company locations combined. The number of employees has grown steadily in recent years and experts are still being sought.

In the Elma Schmidbauer GmbH Cornelia Schmidbauer has taken over the chairmanship of the Board as managing partner. As part of a long-standing plan the children are involved through project-related issues in the enterprise.

Thomas G. Neher is as COO will be responsible for the operating business. The qualified marketing professional with extensive experience in the management of medium-sized engineering companies with international sales structures. He became deployed by Manfred H. Schmidbauer two years ago. He will be in charge of marketing, sales, product management, product development and technology.

Fritz Bachhuber, now already 16 years in the management of Elma, will be responsible as CFO and continues to be in charge of the central commercial areas of finance, human resources, IT and controlling.

Together with well-trained and motivated employees, the Elma Schmidbauer GmbH is thus well prepared for the future.
