Cleaning for inspection

The manufacturing of precision and infrared lenses of various geometrical shapes requires numerous grinding, polishing, turning and centering stages. The lenses are mechanically fixed for these processes by means of cement. In addition, various kinds of lacquer are used to protect the finished surfaces. Developing a perfect, tailor-cut cleaning method which allows for the different glass qualities is the core competence of Elma.

Cleaning for coating

The final cleaning before coating is prerequisite for a successful finishing of precision lenses by vacuum coating. The cleaning process must leave the lenses at a predefined degree of cleanness and without any particles. Lenses which are assembled to components must also be perfectly clean to guarantee faultless functioning.
